The Bundaberg Distilling Co. (BDC) is excited to announce locally-made drop, Royal Liqueur, has been recognised on the world stage, being awarded a Bronze medal at the 2014 International Spirits Challenge.
Celebrating the quality, ingenuity and craftsmanship that is synonymous with the BDC, the win sees Royal Liqueur join the ever-growing portfolio of Bundaberg Rum products to receive prestigious global accolades.
Royal Liqueur has been sold at the BDC for more than 50 years, with a bottle and label that has evolved over time. The remarkable liquid, made wholly from locally-sourced products, marries Bundaberg Rum with the smooth tones of chocolate and coffee, resulting in an indescribably intense flavour.
Commenting on the win, Duncan Littler, Senior Brand Manager at Bundaberg Rum, says: “Bundaberg Rum has been producing rum to rival the world’s best for the past 125 years, and we’re delighted that the expertise at the BDC is being recognised beyond Australia.”
“Royal Liqueur is the first of our products outside of the Master Distillers’ Collection to win such an award. As Royal Liqueur has always been exclusively available at the BDC Bondstore, this is an especially meaningful win for a local and much-adored fan favourite, and we look forward to welcoming rum fans from far and wide to the Distillery to try it,” Littler continued.
Royal Liqueur is available at the BDC Bondstore in a 700mL bottle (20% ABV) for RRP $44.95.
